Dear customers, partners, and colleagues,
After years of fruitful collaboration with the bioaerosol community, we are pleased to announce that updated models of Rapid-E+ and E-Catch are now available. The first units have already been shipped, and we sincerely thank our users for their valuable feedback!
The main updates concern the following items, significantly boosting efficiency, accuracy, and longevity of Rapid-E+:
1. Unlimited UV Laser Lifetime: No longer limited to 200 million shots – enabling continuous, long-term operation without interruptions.
2. Increased Particle Throughput: Process up to 10,000 particles per minute for fluorescence, a dramatic increase from the previous 4,800 – ideal for high-load environments.
3. Enhanced Fluorescence Detection: Jump from 3 to 16 fluorescence lifetime channels, allowing much more detailed particle characterization.
4. Improved Spectral Clarity: Scattering noise has been eliminated, ensuring cleaner, more accurate spectral data.
5. ISO 21501-4:2018-Compliant Particle Counting: Now supports accurate 0.5 μm and 5 μm particle counting, expanding its suitability for regulated monitoring applications.
These upgrades make the Rapid-E+ REV A the most powerful model yet for real-time bioaerosol and particulate analysis.
The E-Catch has also evolved. With the upgrade, it now supports stand-alone operation with an external pump – offering more flexibility and easier deployment in various sampling scenarios.
Both upgrades are now available. Contact our team to learn more about upgrading your current systems or incorporating the new models into your workflow.
PLAIR disposes a unique bioaerosol testing facility dedicated to the certification, validation, calibration, and testing of bioaerosol instruments. The facility possesses a specially designed aerosol chamber built with high-quality materials and allowing the best possible performances with no compromises for the ultimate reduction of airborne particle losses during transport and sampling. PLAIR designed and implemented this laboratory as the future etalon for validating alternative microbiological methods.
If you would like to calibrate your instruments or train your Rapid-E/Rapid-E+ on bioaerosols, including microorganisms, please contact us to get more information.
